The lemon blueberry French toast was AMAZING. Chorizo is delicious too. Very crowded but great service.

I come here and get a matcha latte, they are good. Small cafe so the line can back up a little but it is part of the cafe vibe.

This place was plenty busy for Saturday brunch but it's run like a well oiled machine so everything moved smoothly. You order at the counter and get your seat and I love that they have a big sign telling you to order before grabbing a seat. My pet peeve is when people "save" tables before ordering because it messes up the flow when it's busy. We both tried the frozen lemonade - one strawberry mint (4/5) and one blueberry (5/5). Although both were refreshing, the blueberry cut the tartness of the lemonade just right. It was a bit warm inside from all the people but it wasn't intolerable, especially with a frozen drink. Although there was always someone in line, there was an open table for each party and I didn't see anyone waiting for a table. They have a ton of people behind the counter and kitchen so orders moved fast. Also a couple people working the floor cleaning tables immediately. I ordered the famous chicken and waffles (5/5) and found it worthy of the hype. The chicken was just the right crisp but more importantly it was juicy and flavorful! The waffle held up the crisp and fluffiness and loved that they had self serve sauce cups of syrup instead of jugs of sticky syrup containers! The spicy maple butter was also something new I hadn't seen before. We also tried the Blueberry Lemon Curd French Toast Stix (5/5) - this is not something I've seen anywhere else. I'm generally not a fan of bread, but gosh this was good. A little on the sweet side, so I could probably only eat 1-2 stix, but the blueberry and lemon curd were a great pairing. Most items seemed home/housemade and the drink menu was extensive/impressive. Definitely worth another visit!

What a cute little spot to get some lunch in the bellaire area!! Went there on a friend's recommendation, and she was right it was great. I got a BLT with a tomato pesto soup and a green juice. It was all fabulous, but I have to say the green juice felt watered down. The service staff is fast and efficient, and I had my food faster than I realized!!!

Well we recently visited Dandelion Cafe. This place competed on Good Morning America "United States of Breakfast" competition for the ultimate chicken and waffles in June 2023. They didn't win but I have to say their food is tasty. T had the chicken and waffles, which I tasted and they weren't bad... even with sugar free syrup. The waffle has a bit of a cornmeal/cornbread texture, which was different but tasty. I had the BLTA sandwich which was kinda flavorless and overpriced, plus it didn't come with anything but house made pickled cucumbers and carrots, which I did love . If you are looking for something different than your regular breakfast/brunch spots you may want to give this place a try.

Despite being super busy, the staff was kind and attentive - helping bus tables and hand guests napkins and silverware. I ordered The Dandy Classic with scrambled eggs, maple sausage, hash browns, and sourdough toast. The maple sausage was a bit too greasy, so next time I will order bacon instead. Loved the hash browns!! Pancake was huge and fluffy - great for sharing! Overall great spot not too far from the city.

We tried this place last Sunday. I like how you have to order at the counter and then look for a table to be seated. Their pancakes are so moist and delicious. They reminded me of my grandmother's. Not sure if they have a bit of cornmeal but they sure did taste like they did. I also ordered a lox bagel but they forgot to put it on my tab so offered something else since they ran out. I opted for a soft scrambled egg and it was just to my liking. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. We thought the waffle was a little dry. Nonetheless, we will be back for the pancakes!

Always a delight, this spot is always light, bright, evolving and always helping me satisfy my daily dose of vitamin D. While you may know them for beating out a local fav with their chicken and waffles, I know them from my avo toast obsession phase. #basic I came for the black ownership and hand painted window decor but stayed for the avo toast and self serve maple syrup. Entering my third year of patronage my taste has finally evolved. I'll dabble in multiple delight, from the lemon ginger cayenne shots to third party local pastries to bagel dots. But the main reason I decided to revisit this review today was the customer service. I drove admittedly a bit out of my way craving a menu item that's no longer available. Instead of prompting me to select another, their team put on their creative hats, realized they have all of the ingredients to create the dish and crafted me an order. The extra touch was beyond appreciated. I wish I grabbed a receipt or that team members name so I could shout them out! I'll be blunt, I know these folks are not paid enough to have to problem solve with customers, but it means the world when they do! Not all items are winners, but the service is. If you've yet to visit, take this as your sign!

My friend Lily and I were planning to go to Galveston and first needed sustenance. Thankfully bellaire provides a lot of options in terms of good places to eat. We went to dandelion cafe on a whim and based on the packed inside, it surely must have been a hit. It's not too big of an establishment but the ambiance resembles a moderately crowded cafe in New York. The tables are quite close together and the service is quick. You pull up to the front counter to order, pay, and then they bring it to you. Surprisingly, people dining in are in and out quickly. I got the avocado toast and that bad boy was filling. It came with a bowl of fruit to which I kindly asked to just have banana and they happily did it. The wait wasn't too bad for the food either. This is a good find and worth trying.
